NRC was engaged by the company to market its convenience store portfolio, ethanol distribution facilities and fuel transportation assets. The company had expressed a strong desire to sell all of its assets to a single purchaser. Nonetheless, NRC developed several lists of prospective purchasers for the various businesses conducted by the company. After several rounds of bidding by parties who were interested in some or all of the assets, the company decided to sell all of its assets to The Pantry, Inc., based in Cary, North Carolina.
